Orhan Pamuk opened the World Literature in Between Symposium at Istanbul Bilgi University
Orhan Pamuk was invited to open the World Literature in Between Symposium at Istanbul Bilgi University on 18th December 2008. Pamuk gave an interview to David Damrosch (Harvard University) on “Istanbul and the World”. In his interview Pamuk talked about such concepts as world literature, literary translation, freedom of speech and emphasized Turkey’s non-colonial position towards the West in history.
